7 Things You Can Learn From Rap Music

Hey everyone, i think we can all agree that learning is a life long process? *Nod nod*

You can learn from absolutely everything and anything. I like to think that everyone we meet is a teacher and everywhere we go is a school, because everyone has a story and everyone knows something we don't.

Now that you all agree on that, today i am taking you to an unusual journey and that is to learn life lessons from rap music.

I know i dont look like a Hiphop gangster kind of girl, but some of this rap songs is actually enjoyable and ear-friendly ;)

1. Being gay is not wrong (Same Love - Macklemore)

Lyrics: No freedom till we're equal, damn right i support it
And i cant change even if i tried, even if i wanted to, My love.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with homosexual individual, they are are all human just like us and they were born that way. Its not something they choose for themselves and definitely something that they can't change. There is finally a famous rapper that addressed this topic, and not only that, Macklemore supports it! #Lovewins

2. Be passionate and never settle for less (Trap Queen - Fetty Wap)

Lyrics: We just set a goal talking matching Lambos..

A female were supposed to have a man to stand up for her because they are way too "fragile and needy" to be able to stand up for themselves. Well, guess what? That's Sexist and not true. Us, woman can also be passionate and we wont settle for less, just like this badass "Trap Queen" on Fetty's Rap song.

3. Good friends = Family (See you again - Wiz Khalifa)

Lyrics: First you both go out your way and the vibe is feeling strong
And what's small turn to a friendship, a friendship turn into a bond
And that bond will never be broken, and the love will never get lost

Finding a friend is hard. We all know that, but finding someone that sticks up to you through good and bad times is super challenging! People often take their friends for granted and little did they know, their good friend is a part of their family. Long story short, treat your good friends the way that they deserve!

4. Success is the best revenge (Bad Blood - Taylor Swift ft. Kendrik Lamar)

Lyrics: Remember when you thought i'd take a loss? Dont you remember?
You thought that i would need ya

Having a negative feeling (like anger and hatred) is not good. Its like holding a burning stone, you dont confront them, you dont try to make peace with them and all you do is holding this thing that hurts no one but yourself. As Kendrik said, its better to be successful as a revenge to those who hurt you!

5. Hard work pays off (Work - Iggy Azalea)

Lyrics: How many floors that i had to scrub just to make it past where i am from

Not everyone is lucky enough to be born with an overflowing money faucet. They all worked hard to get where they are now, So hard work does pays off! You cannot just paved your way up without continuous hard work and dedication.

6. Dont listen to those who brings you down (Starship - Nicki Minaj)

Lyrics: They say what they gotta say

People talk. All the time. If its not a critical feedback, its better to just mute them away. I am the type of person who cares too much about what people said about me. I know it doesn't define me but i just cant help it. Every time people would give me negative feedback i'd think it through 24/7 which stressed me out more than it should. Let them know that they have no negative impact in your whole existence. For more information about how to deal with haters, click here.

7. It is important to stay committed to your goals (Started from the bottom - Drake)

Lyrics: Started from the bottom now we here

Alright, so its great to have a goal, even better when you have a REALISTIC goal, but what if you dont stay committed to it? It will turn out pretty...bad. If you have a goal, chase it and do not forget to stay committed to it. Without commitment and necessary sacrifice, nothing would work.

So that is it for this week's blog post and i (as per usual) have a video up for this week and the link is down below.
