As some of you guys know, i cut my hair short a couple of weeks ago (I didn't cut it by my own tho).
The reasons behind this extremely spontaneous decision is because I'm so sick of my damaged-end hair, Im terrible at maintaining a long healthy hair that it is getting uncontrollably frizzy and Im simply bored of my waist length hair.
Now, people nowadays think that short hair equal not sexy, gross, simple or even uncool. *Tenot* WRONG.
People also thought not all girls can rock those short hair *Tenot* WRONG AGAIN.
Short hair is hard to style *Tenot* Gurl please, you just dont know how to!
These kind of common misconception often makes girls feel uncomfortable in trying short hair. Some of the brave girls would cut their hair short and then goes like:
"Ehhmegerd i hate my hair. They look so flat, so gross and so boring that i have no idea how to style it. It completely is a nightmare or...... should i just go bald?"
And believe it or not, one of the girls that scream in agony /depressed/ high pitched voice was me. I always had a long hair as far as i remembered and when you had long hair for so long it is normal to feel confused once you had your hair cut short. Things that worked out with your long hair might not even worked with your new hair. Type of styling might feel a little bit different.
Guess what? You have to experiment and learn how to do stuff over again because it is in a different length and texture now.
Since i had my hair cut, people said that it makes my facial feature to show up more and they also said it is much better than my long hair because it is fresher. I think it is quite nice to get a good feedback from people for something you're not really confident about.
There are a lot of advantages having short hair like it has more volume so you can just flip your head upside down, spray some sea salt to your root, blow dry it and the volume can stay put until the day after.
After I tried playing around, switching my side part, try to style it differently, i began to love my hair.
But if you got a bad haircut and you hate it because its so short, uh...hello we got this thing called extension that you can basically buy in your local drugstore. I mean, why not go short when you can have an option to go back to long hair? You might lose something good but you might also get something better.
Short hair is temporary, it keeps growing. If you hate hate hate and hate your new hair, wait it out because it will eventually grow back to the length it used to be. Embrace it while you can!
