Insecurity

I want you to look at a mirror and ask yourself :

Are you happy about how you look? and are you the person who you want to be?

If your answer is no for both questions, then you are on insecurity zone. Insecurity is when you don't feel good enough about yourself and you wish to be someone else, or you never feel grateful about anything you've given. I used to feel this way. I understand the feeling of not being pretty enough or rich enough to be accepted by society. But you know what? There are more important things to do other than trying to please people.

Other Signs of insecurity:

  • Gossiping
When you talk about others, you're just being nosy, and it gives you no advantage at all. Plus, your word can hurt like knife. Once you said something, you cannot take it back. It also shows that you're not happy about yourself and deep down, you're insecure. 

  • Comment 
On special occasion i meet my big family, and at least 2 of my aunt will comment on how i'm so short and chubby. I mean, it might be okay for them to say that, but it might not be okay for me. Do they think that i don't know that i'm short? And my point is, overweight people know they are overweight. Underweight people know they're underweight. There is no need to point it out on their face.


  • Way too competitive
If someone act like every interaction is a competition, there's a chance that this person is insecure about themselves. They have a burning desire to make themselves feel superior because you feel inferior inside. They also cannot handle the success of others.They want people approval that they are good in a specific task, and actually, they just want to feel great. 


When you only see people's flaw, you cannot see their beauty. And i can now proudly say that i'm out of insecurity zone. I don't stand in front a mirror and taking mental notes about parts of me that i like to change. I love my self, every inch of it. I know i wasn't, i am not, and will never be perfect. Perfection is boring anyway. 

I mean, we are more than how we looks and more than a clothing size. Your inner beauty and your self-acceptance is more important than others opinion. You cannot please everyone. 

And trust me, when you feel great about your flaw, no one can use it against you.

HighSchool Problem

   Hi again! Im pretty sure that some of you reading this is either has been trough Highschool (Adult), is going to be in Highschool in a couple of years (pre-teen), or currently in it. Highschool can be extremely depressing sometimes, all the homeworks, project, test, annoying teacher, breakup, betrayal, frienemies, ugh. But do not worry! I have some tips that'll help you to survive :D

Common Highschool Problem:

  • Insecurity 
You! There is nothing wrong with how you looks, just be confident and also don't forget to love yourself. Stop putting too much makeup ,dont starve yourself, do not cut yourself, that's not worth it. Just remember that each and every one of you is precious :)

  • "No boyfriend, not cool."
This isn't 90s anymore, you do not need a guy to complete you, seriously. If you're not ready to have a relationship with someone, i suggest you don't. Because sometimes relationship can be complicated and it leads to drama, drama, or more drama. 

  • Frienemies
The most obvious difference between middle school and Highschool is that in Highschool you will discover who is your real friend. A friend that stand up for you in your darkest days, not the one who stick up to you during your brightest day. You will find out that not all of your friend is "friend".

  • Fitting in 
If you move to a new school and youre afraid of not fitting in, well, dont be afraid, you eventually will. Just be your self, and the right people will come to you :) thats what i do. 

  • Crush that doesn't like back
If you have a crush on someone, and he/she doesn't like you back, don't force it. Maybe he/she is just not meant for you. The best base for a relationship is always friendship. You gotta know him well enough, and you can decide your feeling later. 

  • Breakups
If you have a relationship and it didn't work out, don't blame yourself. Don't put too much pressure in yourself. Just give your heart a time to heal and time to forgive. Time heal almost anything :) Aside from your boy friend, you still have your family and friends to run to. You are not alone. 

  • Bullies
If you're the one who's being bullied, talk to someone you can trust. Your closest sister or your teacher will do. If it gets too much, report it. I understand it might not be easy but don't let the bullies get the best of you. 
If you're the one that bullied people, its not too late to stop. Did bullying people makes you feel better? bullying isn't cool at all, change yourself, i know you can.

Work Out Tips

   One of my New Year's Resolution is to Work out more and eat more healthy food. But so often, i eat instant noodles, chips, pizza, and fried potato all in one meal.... I realized its a bad habit that i have to change, and its not too late to change it. So i set up a plan and i force my self to stick to it.

   I download this app called Nike Training in the App Store and it basically work EXACTLY like your personal trainer. Its a free app and i think its available at Google play as well. I'm telling you, this app is fantastic and you gotta have it!

   I take the "Get Focused" program. Its targeting on a certain area in your body, and i picked Core Crunch for my stomach. I recommend this app for people who want to work out whenever and wherever possible, and for those who don't have access to gym.
 
   I dont know the other work out, but if you do the core crunch like i do, you have to do it minimal 3 times a week and 15 minutes a day for it to make an optimal result.

   This is some of the work out in the core crunch:

  • V ups for 2 min
  • Full extension for 2 min
  • Suitcase for 2 min
  • Side plank crunches for 4 min
  • Mountain Climber for 2 min
  • Plank for 1 min
  • Opposite leg and hand for 1 min
  • Leg dropper for 1 min
TOTAL: 15 Min. 


   For eating healthy, this is pretty hard for me because i have the sweetest tooth ever. Its almost impossible to ditch Soda for water, or to ditch pizza for salad. But if i keep eating un-healthy food, i might have some complicated disease by the time im 30... So this is my healthy food schedule:

Breakfast: Fruit + cereal and milk

Lunch: Medium amount of rice and some variety of stuff. (sometimes beef, or vegetable, it depends)

Dinner: Small amount of rice and some other stuff + Fruit

   Oh and i have a few tips related to appetite and food:

  • Eat more often but smaller portion
  • Eat in a small plate 
  • Drink plenty of water to keep your metabolism high and optimal
  • Fruit, fruit and fruit
  • Eat only when you're hungry
  • Do not over eat
  • Chew slower

   So that is it for my work out tips, and i hope you guys realized how important it is to eat healthy food :) Stay lovely <3

Just say YES

   So, i started to take a completely different outlook on my life. For some reason, i became very isolated and negative person, in the past few weeks. I push my self way too much and i do anything halfheartedly. I don't feel happy about the things i used to feel happy about. I don't spend as much quality time as i did before. I don't do things that makes me happy anymore.

   I'm stuck in a bubble called "Negativity" and i struggle to find my way out of that trap. It got to the point where I realized i cannot continue to be like this. But, there is two option. The first option is to stay in my comfort zone (which is easier) and do nothing about how i feel, OR get out of my comfort zone and start saying YES to opportunities.

   If you  feel the same way that i do, or maybe you just want to "POP" your negativity bubbles up, lets do it together :)

   So my family went on a "short trip" about a few days ago and they ask me to tag along. I normally think family trip is lame and boring, BUT i think i'll give this one a try. We went to some places, and did a fantastic thing and most of all, I HAVE FUN.

   My point is i say yes to opportunities, and i had an amazing day. So, why don't you say YES to things and create memories? I mean, WHY NOT? Get out of your comfort zone, its boring to be in your cozy shell all the time. As they all say," Life begin at the end of your comfort zone." 

   I know it might seem scary to do things you haven't done before, or meet people you haven't meet before, but please give it a try because the result may surprise you. You don't know where it will take you if you say YES, but you do know what will come out if you say NO. If you say no, you'll feel more and more negative about yourself, and it gets you nowhere.

How I Deal with Haters

What is haters?
Why do they hate me? 
Why do they say mean things about me? 
Why cant they stop?
What have i done wrong? 

Have anybody ever been judgmental to you or mean to you or discourage you or maybe left you hater comment on some of your social media? Or did some people make fun of your dream, your life, or even how you dressed? 

For me, the answer is yes. 

If you dared to think outside the box, dress however you like, be creative and even do things differently, there will be some people that will hate/ judge you no matter what. It could be a friend, a family members, or even a stranger. 

But the saddest thing about those bitter people is that they're just so full with negativity, and they use their energy to bring people down rather than to reach for their own goals. They use so many times talking about others, that they actually forget to take care of themselves. And in the end of the day they will be nothing but an AWFUL person. 

One thing that you have to keep in mind, You only give them a power if you listen to what they say.

If you have a dream, go after them. Don't let ANYBODY stop you from chasing your dream. Because every great person that successful today, also had those horrible people that discourage them back then. Do you know that The Beatles were told that they are not talented and Disney were told that he is un-original. 

And you! if you think you have an impossible dream.. Well,

I BELIEVE IN YOU. 
I BELIEVE YOU CAN DO IT.
I BELIEVE ITS NOT AS HARD AS YOU THINK. 
I BELIEVE ITS NOT TOO LATE TO TRY.

And if you dont believe in yourself, who will?

PROCRASTINATION

   Procrastination is when you have something that you should do, but instead you do other things and you put it off. Procrastination is a bad habit, and you just ended up wasting a lot of times doing unnecessary stuff. Procrastination doesn't mean you can escape from it, it just mean you avoid it, and in the end you still have to do it. And when its all pilled up, you have less time and more pressure.

 Example of procrastination:

  •     You have to do your homework, but you spend the time surfing the Internet. 
  •     You have to review for your exam, but you spend it playing your phone. 
  •     You have to apply for job, but you spend the time hanging out in the mall.

 Lets be real, we all procrastinate. But, how can we beat it?

Tips 1. Turn off distractions
If your gadgets is bothering you, turn it off. If you love listening to music while you're studying  try classical music, because it help to improve concentration and it gets you into the mood.

Tips 2. Think Positive 
Do not think the "work" is boring, or hard. But try think of it as a fun thing :) And when you face it with positive attitude, and speak only the words of positivity, you can face the challenge better and faster.

Tips 3. Break the work into bits and pieces
If the work is a big project, you might want to break it into several segments so that it is easier and organized.

Tips 4. One Task at a Go
If  you do a lot of task at the same time/ multitasking, the result might not be maximum. Always tackle one task at a go.

Tips 4. Reward
Give yourself  something sweet at the end of your task. If you know you get a reward, it will make you happier and it can change your perspective of a "work".

Stop procrastinating, and start doing! :)

How to Get Good Grades

 Since winter break is almost over for almost all of you guys, and you're going back to school very soon, i'll give you some tips on "How to get straight A's or Good grades"
 
   Your grades usually consist of 4 categories:

  • Homework 
  • Tests / Quizzes
  • Projects 
  • Participation 
  • Extra credit 
   Now, if you want to get straight A's, you have to get A in all of the categories. That's pretty hard, right? But actually, its simple and i'll tell you how ;)

      Homework
  1. You should definitely do it. 
  2. Turn off gadgets that makes you distracted.
  3. Listen to classical music (it improves concentration
  4. Ask for friends/ parents help.
  5. DONT PROCRASTINATE.
   When you struggle with homework, you can ask the teacher in the next meeting. Most of the teacher will be happy to answer, and will grade you higher in participation.

    Test/ Quizzes 
  1. Do the review question on the book.
  2. Pay attention when the teacher is explaining. 
  3. Read your text book and use flashcard if necessary.
  4. Mind mapping.
  5. Study with the "right" friend in the library. (you can help each other out)
    Projects
  1. Do not do it on the night before the deadline.
  2. Do it wholeheartedly and aim for the best.
  3. In some project, use creative ways.
    Participation
  1. Give opinion in class.
  2. Do not talk to other friend the whole time.
    Extra credit
  1. DO IT. (unless youre 100% sure you'll get all A's in the 3 categories)

Last but not least, get a good rest and healthy breakfast. If you dont you will not be able to concentrate and you will lose grip in all of the categories. Good luck Nerdiesss! :D

Try the Trend: Orange Lipstick

   In the cold time of the year, people tend to go for a dark makeup, especially for the lips. Dark red or plum color might be in for 2012, but not for the end of this year! Let's rock out Orange lipstick because not just it give winter a pop of color it also look good in all skin tone. Famous celebrity of the year, Megan Fox also rock this look for an event she attend in the end of this year. Oh and i think Orange Lip Color can actually boost your confident a lot. What are you waiting for? Lets Try the Trend!

   The first thing you need to figure out is what type of orange that suits you best. There is a numerous tone of orange. Light orange, will compliment pale skin perfectly because it gives more shine and glossy look to our skin. For you girls who have a yellow skin tone, reddish orange will give your entire look more sophisticated feel to it. Brown skin toned girls will look good in any kind of orange but Neon Orange will look the best on you.

   Matching colored lip liner can also do wonders in this look. Apply the same color of lip liner in the outer side of your lips and then fill it in. After filling your lips with lip liner apply power and tap it with tissue. This step will make your lipstick last longer and glossier. After that apply your choice of lipstick. Its so quick and simple right?

     I think nude eye shadow, simple benefit highlighter and Orange lipstick will look great in ANYONE. And remember, keep the rest of the make up simple so that the main highlight goes to our lovely orange lips. And since the spring and summer season is coming up, you can actually use the same look all trough out the seasons! Good luck on trying this look, Ladies!
